MountainStar has held accreditation through the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) since 2010. This is the highest level of national certification for early childhood education programs, and in order to maintain that status an organization must be re-evaluated every five years.
We received the results of March's evaluation, and we passed with flying colors! MountainStar received commendations in 7 out of the 10 areas, earning "extra credit" for showing evidence of emerging best practices in:

This accreditation is held by our Bend Relief Nursery. We are working toward earning NAEYC accreditation for our Madras Relief Nursery, and soon Prineville as well. High-quality programming is a value we believe is of the utmost importance.
